West Croydon

West Croydon is located in a modern purpose built building in a convenient location between Central Croydon and Selhurst. This branch was opened in 2009.

This setting cares for children aged 6 weeks – 4 years.

Layout

This branch is on one level without any stairs and has a sectioned off area for the babies. The children have access to a role play, sensory and creative area as well as an interactive screen which has a variety of programmes used to further develop the children's learning. 

We operate a free flow system throughout the day with the children being able to gain access to the garden directly from their room. This allows the children the freedom go outdoors as they wish. The nursery has a wide range of resources at the child’s level, this allows the child to easily select the items/toys they wish to use. 

Garden

We have a very large selection of outdoor toys suitable for all ages which consists of slides, bikes, trikes, push alongs, bats, balls, skittles, hoops, stilts etc. We also have sand and water play on a regular basis available to the children.We operate a free flow system so children have regular access to the garden throughout the day.  We use the garden all year around in all weathers, we provide the children with rain suits and winter/summer hats.

Please note there have been a few changes in the garden and it currently looks different to the pictures on our gallery page. This is due to the hoarding being installed by the builders at the rear. This is only temporary, and the garden will be re designed once the boundary has been returned in the coming months.

Extra Curricular Activities 

We welcome external teachers who visit the three branches weekly on rotation so the children can experience, French, Sports and Yoga. We are pleased to provide the children with the opportunity to experience these extra activities without any additional charges.

Your Beat 

Self Care

We work closely with parents/carers to assist and can give advice about potty/toilet training. Children are provided with a flannel to learn about hygiene and encourage self care. 

The Menu

The children who attend our nursery enjoy culinary experiences that reflect those of a multi-cultural society. The menus are planned to encourage good eating habits and an awareness of where food comes from. We have a four week rotating menu which offers a wide range of food from various cultures i.e. chicken curry, chow mien, lasagne, fish and boiled rice etc. We supply afternoon tea which consists of sandwiches, croissants, cheese on toast etc. We also provide healthy snacks and drinks throughout the day. We can accommodate children with dietary requirements e.g. vegetarians, dairy intolerance.

Key Person

We operate a key person system in the nursery. Your child will be allocated a member of staff who will be responsible for them on a daily basis, this will involve carrying out activities with them, making observations on your child and generally looking after your child's well being. Key persons will be reviewed on a regular basis and changed if necessary.
